Dip your head into the ocean Tell me what you see I see molecules in motion You wouldn’t understand Now you’ve grown to be a man If we pretend that we’re young We can get away with just a smile If we pretend that we’re having fun We can stop and stare just for a while And scrape away Scrape away Take a nap in the Sahara Tell me about your dreams Are they far away or near And you won’t understand When you grow to be a man
2.
Most the others come and go. But you’re stickin’ around for a good enough while, & I’m glad you’re here. Possessive nature not on the receiving end, but I’d feel perturbed to even say a word about it. All the wonders of my psyche find a common light. But I’m still unsure of what I’ve heard, & what I’ve time to do. Moved by music that comes from the deepest corners of my soul. All the wonders of my psyche find a common light. But I’m still unsure of what I’ve heard, & what I’ve time to do.
3.
Smooth sailing all the days Nothing that out of place Something just chips away I feel it everyday The wire Always gets the best of me The wire Always leave me speechless, nothing to say Can we stop please? Can we stop please? Helpless, obsessed
4.
(Disparate jibber-jabber) I don’t wanna know, no no no no no no no no (Disparate jibber-jabber)

Can somebody tell the man in the back of the room to be quiet please. He’s killing my narrative that I’m trying to push onto the mainstream. Can somebody ducktape his mouth cause I don’t want you hearin’ what he says. Please everybody stay asleep! Listen to the sound of my voice, don’t ever distrust the words that follow. I am superior, my voice means more than truthful people. Ignore all opposition even if it could be helpful. Please everybody stay asleep! Can somebody tell the man in the back of the room to be quiet please. Can somebody tell the man in the back of the room to stop his words of truth. Who even told you that his words were words of moral truth. Oh wait… Listen to the sound of my voice, don’t ever distrust the words that follow. I am superior, my voice means more than better people. Ignore the implication that we’re worse than many people. Please everybody stay asleep! Can somebody tell the man in the back of the room to be quiet please.

Never thought I’d see you again Look at all the plastic people acting like we don’t exist All these trends, they come and go But stick with me, it won’t be long ‘till we find a way out of here But it’s alright if we leave tonight and never make it home Yeah it’s alright, we’ll find brighter light if we begin to roam All these men living haunted lives No one ever knows what’s going on behind the stage at night Skeletons shining all their bones And shadow men who never learned the difference between right and wrong But it’s alright if we leave tonight and never make it home Yeah it’s alright, we’ll find brighter light if we begin to roam [Solo] Never thought I’d be here again But look at all the plastic people acting like we don’t exist All these memories come and go But stick with me, it won’t be long 'till we find a way out of here But it’s alright if we leave tonight and never make it home Yeah it’s alright, we’ll find brighter light if we begin to roam But it’s alright if we leave tonight and never make it home Yeah it’s alright, we’ll find brighter light if we begin to roam All of the plastic people Hiding underneath the skylines All of the plastic people Hiding in the corners of my eye But it’s alright if we leave tonight and never make it home Yeah it’s alright, we’ll find brighter light if we begin to roam But it’s alright if we leave tonight and never make it home Yeah it’s alright, we’ll find brighter light if we begin to roam

Twenty-five years and my life is still Trying to get up that great big hill of hope For a destination I realized quickly when I knew I should That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man For whatever that means And so I cry sometimes When I’m lying in bed Just to get it all out What’s in my head And I, I am feeling a little peculiar And so I wake in the morning And I step outside And I take a deep breath and I get real high And I scream from the top of my lungs What’s going on? [2x] And I say, hey hey hey hey I said hey, what’s going on? Ooh, ooh ooh And I try, oh my god do I try I try all the time In this institution And I pray, oh my god do I pray I pray every single day For a revolution And so I cry sometimes When I’m lying in bed Just to get it all out What’s in my head And I, I am feeling a little peculiar And so I wake in the morning And I step outside And I take a deep breath and I get real high And I scream from the top of my lungs What’s going on? [2x] And I say, hey hey hey hey I said hey, what’s going on? Twenty-five years and my life is still Trying to get up that great big hill of hope For a destination

Eaten whole by these desires By something cold, a promise of some bliss I’m sorry for all the facades The man I knew didn’t look like this The war’s been won inside my head Though I still feel a bit drained and dead I’m closer now to you somehow But I still need to fill this void
10.
What’s going on inside my brain It always feel like rain is Gonna fall, but it never does You read the book so many times Yet you can’t recite a single line What’s the deal with incongruity? It feels like April showers Are coming through today, if I’m not mistaken Let’s hold a great parade and Throw our troubles off the cliffs of Dover Over and over again One, two, three, four falling in a single file Now I’ve lost count, I can’t keep count Of all the people in my heart It feels like May flowers Are springing up today, if I’m not mistaken Let’s have a picnic and we’ll Throw our troubles off the cliffs of Dover Over and over again It feels like summertime Is coming true today, if I’m not mistaken Let’s have a party and we’ll Throw our troubles off the roof once and for all Over and over and over
11.
12.
The line is empty There’s no film anyway I’m selling tickets And there’s no one who will pay I don’t care, I don’t care, I don’t care I don’t know what’s best I won’t wish upon a star now A couple of years is like a couple of worlds apart It’s in the distance, but I still play the same guitar Was everyone always this self-deprecating? I don’t remember it like this You tried your best but it didn’t work out I’ll try to teach you the meaning of style Just play it off like it’s every man’s game But try not to let it get to you I know you better than that, man Sometimes I feel a bit disconnected A bit worn out Overlooked and undetected It’s not a big deal, it’s not a big deal, it’s not No one’s lining up But it’s alright, I’m the manager of this joint I make the rules around here What I say is what I say And what I say is what goes Ya feel me? Do ya feel me? The mailman’s here with another letter He’s here to bring me the good news It’s gonna come someday, just don’t, just don’t worry about it It’s gonna come someday, just don’t, just don’t worry about it man
13.
In my heart And in my soul I feel it coming every day When my heart Skips a beat I sometimes forget to blink We are the only ones Who measure how we feel We are the lonely ones We don’t know how it feels To be in love Be in love As the day Turns to night I see you at the grocery market Buying food For your dog And your cat But not yourself When this feeling escalates To something I call love I start to feel a little empty And I forget to breathe
14.
How many special people change How many lives are living strange Where were you while we were getting high? Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova in the sky Wake up the dawn and ask her why A dreamer dreams she never dies Wipe that tear away now from your eye Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova ‘Cause people believe that they’re Gonna get away for the summer But you and I, we live and die The world’s still spinning round We don’t know why Why, why, why, why How many special people change How many lives are living strange Where were you while we were getting high? (we were getting high) Slowly walking down the hall (we were getting high) Faster than a cannon ball (we were getting high) Where were you while we were getting high? (we were getting high) (we were getting high) (we were getting high) (we were getting high) Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova in the sky Where were you while we were getting high?

about

"Only in February will FAWM come out to play, but all year round, EMAWM is here to stay."

...

Wait, holy shit, has it been a year already? Dang, where did the time go?

Hey all, Mark here, & I'll be droppin' these liner notes for this slick little compilation. What started as a conversation in a private skype chat has managed to, over the course of the past year, turn in to my pet-project website, and this compilation is here to celebrate its first anniversary. For those of you who don't know, "Extremely Musical Artists Will Musicalize" (EMAWM) is a blog-ish music demo archive that I run alongside my friends Chris & Lesley.

But how did we get to this point? Well, it's a long story that will take several paragraphs to explain, so listen up: First of all, lets be clear here. Frozen C-

Oh wait, ... wrong website.

Y'know, I shouldn't need to over-elaborate. Basically, what you're getting here is a collection of 15 tracks that were uploaded to the EMAWM website within its first year of existence. Each contributing artist picked 5 of their own tracks to show up in this release, and the lineup of tracks was sorted by myself.

With that all being said, we here at EMAWM Incorporated hope that y'all enjoy this compilation. Here's to a great start to EMAWM, & many more great years to come. *raises glass in the air, only to realize that nobody is near*
